build us a house of snow and promise not to go

I finished the two pieces for Miss Laurel Brauns' new album, House of Snow, this week.  On Tuesday, an hour before I was Laurel was coming to pick them up, I was being persnickety with the title piece.  All of a sudden, my work table, which Was propped up to lower rib height by milk crates, flipped over, tumbling my computer, my iron (did you know I use an iron?), and many tiny scraps of paper over and into the studio space next to mine (sorry, Mr. Monson).  I suppose this was my clue to stop working.

Again, I am honored to have been creative for Laurel.  Please check out her music if you get a chance.

In other news, the following:

  • This is the longest winter I have lived in Central Oregon, good grief.
  • I may be adding yoga-ness to this blog.  Namaste.
  • Tomorrow is an important date, just wanted to acknowledge that.
  • If the world starts to end on Saturday, I will be taking Kelt, my bike, my guitar, and some friends to the Oregon coast.  You will find us singing songs there.
