How in the world do I distill a two week escapade that included spending time in my favorite place in the world (Innisfree Farm), seeing my favorite people in the world (everyone in TN, Brooklyn and Beyond), and exploring new frontiers (Vermont, Maine)? Not to mention the lovely food eaten, the parks explored, and art (ART!) taken in by these two eyes (and sometimes ears).
A hugely encouraging thing: at the numerous galleries that I went to in NYC, the quality of some of my artist and photographer friends here in Bend, in Brooklyn, and in Middle Tennessee could fit in on the walls of those snooty stone and glass bastions of good taste; and whatever they say about the economy- I saw an awful lot of red dots in those places.
My goal for this week is to talk a little bit about the art that I saw and liked, and to get my nose to the grindstone preparing for an upcoming show. In the meantime, photos.

I loved the title of this article as it grabed my attention and reminded me of Lord Of The Rings and it the book I think the titke was something like 'There and back again - a hobbits tale. From these little things that catch your eye grows an interest read.
